Privacy Policy

Thank you for your interest in our website. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. The following text provides detailed information about how we use your data.

Storage of access data in server log files

You can visit our webpages without disclosing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is used solely to ensure the trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offers, and cannot be traced back to you.

Data collection and use for contract execution and when opening an account

We collect personally identifiable information when you provide it, after contact with us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when you freely disclose opening an account. The type of data that is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data that you have provided to process contracts and to handle your requests. After completion of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after the mandatory storage periods defined in tax and commercial legislation, unless you have given your express consent for the further use of your data, or unless we have reserved the right to a more extensive use of the data which is legally permissible and about which we inform you below. Deletion of your customer account is possible and can be carried out at any time, either by sending a message using one of the contact methods given below or by using the feature designed for this in your customer account.

Data dissemination for contract performance

To be able to fulfill the contract, we share your data with the carrier assigned with the delivery to the extent required for the delivery of the goods ordered. Depending on which payment service you select during the ordering process, we pass on the data collected for the settlement of payments to the authorised credit institute and any payment service commissioned by us  or to the selected payment service. Some of the selected payment service providers collect this data  as far as you open an account there. In this case, you have to sign in during the ordering process with your new login for the payment service provider. The privacy statements of each payment service apply.

Data use in signing up for e-mail newsletters

If you sign up to our newsletter, we use the data that is necessary, or separately provided by you, to send you our e-mail newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can do this either by sending a message to the contact point appearing below, or via a link provided for this in the newsletter.

Data use for postal advertising and your right to opt out.

In addition, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, postal address and - if we have received this additional information as part of the contractual relationship with you - your title, academic degree, year of birth and professional title, sector description or business name in summarised lists and to use them for our own promotional purposes, such as the sending of interesting offers and information about our products by post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending us a message using one of the contact options given below.

Use of cookies

In order to make your visit to our website more attractive, and to enable you to use certain functions, we use so-called cookies on certain pages. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the use of cookies and decide individually on whether to accept them or to deactivate the acceptance of cookies, just in certain cases or completely. If cookies are not accepted, our website may have limited functionality.

Use of Google Analytics for web analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (Google). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that allow analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called. "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored in a Google server in the USA. Through the activation of the IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is thereby reduced before transmission within the Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases only, the complete IP address may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with any other data held by Google.

You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Alternatively to the browser plug-in, you can click on this link to prevent the acquisition by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This stores an opt-out cookie on your device. If you ever delete your cookies, you will need to click on the link again. We recommend that you obtain further information about Google's privacy policy before proceeding.

Use of Instagram social plugins

Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") by Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"). The plugins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example, in the form of an  "Instagram camera". An overview of the Instagram plugins and what they look like can be found here: http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges

When you visit a page of our website containing a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram's servers. The content of the plugin is transferred from Instagram directly to your browser, which then embeds it into the page. By integrating the plugin, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Instagram account or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram  can link your visit to our site to your Instagram account directly. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Instagram" button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information is also published on your Instagram  account and displayed to your contacts there.

Please see Instagram's privacy policies for the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Instagram, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/

If you do not want Instagram to link the data collected on our website to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can completely block the loading of Instagram plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).

Use of Facebook plugins

Our site uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). These plugins are labelled with a Facebook logo or the words "social plugin from Facebook" or "Facebook social plugin". You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins and what they look like here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin/

When you visit a page on our website that contains one of these plugins, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the plugin is transferred from Facebook directly to your browser and embedded into the page. Thanks to this connection, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the relevant page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged into Facebook, it can directly link your visit to our site to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example press the "Like" button or make a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also posted on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Please see Facebook's privacy policies for the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not want Facebook to link the data collected on our website to your Facebook account, you should log out of Facebook before visiting our website. An overview of Google plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.google.com/+/plugins. When you visit a page on our website that contains one of these plugins, your browser establishes a direct connection to Google's servers.
